Day two

Today for lunch, I went and ventured around the farmers' market that is exactly one half block away from my building with my friend Mari. I love farmers' markets so much! The experience was sort of a mixed blessing though. I didn't end up buying anything (sad part) but this is only because Mari and I are going out with a bunch of other Grinnellian's tonight (happy part). I think unlimited pizza and good conversation will be a good way to spend a Tuesday evening.

For those interested in the work saga, today wasn't much better, but its amazing how much time I can waste online! I tried to get in contact with people around the office with little success, but by the end of the day another VISTA took me on a field trip and started explaining some of his projects to me. It kind of sounded like I will be taking over for him when he leaves at the end of this week although the stuff he was describing doesn't really match my project description (what they told the Americorp people I would be doing) so that will be another hurdle. Total work time today amounted to less than an hour, so bring on the pizza!
